Whether you dream of a barefoot ceremony on a secluded white-sand beach, a sunset exchange of vows overlooking the turquoise lagoon, or a private celebration within the comfort of your luxury beachfront villa, our dedicated wedding team will bring your vision to life with care, elegance, and attention to every detail.

From marriage licence assistance and ceremony coordination to floral arrangements, professional photography, celebrants, musicians, hair and beauty services, and private dining experiences, we can tailor every aspect of your special day to reflect your personal style and love story.

Following your ceremony, continue the celebration with a romantic ‘Dinner Under The Stars’, private champagne service, couples’ spa treatments, or an extended honeymoon in your own private beachfront pool villa.

Aitutaki Escape Resort & Spa specialises in intimate weddings where privacy, luxury, and genuine Polynesian hospitality create a truly personal experience. With only a limited number of villas and exclusive access to some of Aitutaki’s most beautiful locations, your wedding will feel less like an event and more like a once-in-a-lifetime memory shared with those who matter most.

The Aitutaki Escape Intimate Wedding Package Includes:

    • All wedding documentation, including wedding license & all associated fees

    • Your personal wedding coordinator

    • Flowers for Bride-choice head garland (the traditional favourite) or a neck ‘ei’

    • Flowers for Groom neck ‘ei’

    • Polynesian Archway decorated with flowers

Weddings

Requirements for getting married in the Cook Islands:

  • Birth Certificates
  • Divorce Papers if previously married
  • Be here 3 full clear working days prior to date of wedding
  • Must add $75 if you wish to waive the 3 day waiting period
  • All documents must be translated to a Certified English Translation if in a foreign language

 

Terms of Payment and Conditions

  • Our weddings and renewal of vows are only offered to our in-house guests only.
  • A minimum notice of 3 weeks is necessary to book a wedding with our team. Please note that we only accept direct bookings for weddings.
  • Deposit: 50% is required at the time of booking to secure reservation for the Villa and the Wedding package. The balance for Wedding Package is due1 month prior to wedding date.
  • Cancellation outside of 90 days prior to Wedding date – no charge
  • Cancellation within 60-90 days prior to Wedding date: 25% of  total amount will be charged
  • Cancellation within 30-60 days prior to the Wedding date: 50% of the total amount will be charged
  • Cancellation within  0-30  days prior to the Wedding date: 100% of the total amount will be charged

Aitutaki Escape Resort & Spa – Partner Update

Kia Orana, We are pleased to advise that the renovation and enhancement works on Villas 1, 2 and 3 at Aitutaki Escape Resort & Spa have now been successfully completed. As part of our ongoing development programme, we will shortly commence construction of Villas 4 and 5 on the adjacent property. Construction is scheduled to take place from 1 June to 15 July 2026, with working hours limited to 9:00am – 5:00pm daily. 

To ensure minimal impact on the guest experience, comprehensive safety barriers and privacy screening will be installed to fully separate the construction area from guest-accessible spaces. In addition, many building components will be pre-fabricated offsite and assembled on-site, significantly reducing construction noise and disruption. Our team will continue to closely monitor guest comfort and satisfaction throughout this period and will take all reasonable measures to ensure an enjoyable and relaxing stay for all visitors. We appreciate your ongoing support and look forward to welcoming guests to an even more luxurious Aitutaki Escape Resort & Spa in the near future.
